I am a mixed media artist living in coastal southwestern Maine. My dream studio, where I give workshops, is minutes away, over the border in a beautiful mill building in New Hampshire. My work incorporates needle and wet felted wool, lampworked glass, metalwork and found objects into small sculptures and colorful, whimsical jewelry. Each of these mediums, while beautiful on their own, are even more powerful when combined. I find the unexpected juxtaposition of soft and hard surfaces incredibly pleasing. My subject matter is inspired by nature: Birds and flowers are among my favorite subjects. My “Past Lives” as a toy and fabric designer and an illustrator and my passion for color, gardens and architecture have greatly influenced my colorful and whimsical style. I love traveling all over the country to teach and show my work. I welcome invitations for Artist Residencies. I recently have been using my love of felting, through a grant at a local hospital, to run theraputic felting classes for recovering cancer patients.

When I am not creating I love playing 60’s pop music on my ukulele.
